Bryce Dallas Howard Baby, The Help star Bryce Dallas Howard has given birth to a baby girl. The 30-year-old actress and her husband Seth Gabel welcomed Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel into the world on Thursday.

Bryce’s father, famous Hollywood filmmaker Ron Howard tweeted the happy news to the world today.

‘Beatrice Jean Howard-Gabel Born Jan 19 2012 8lbs 6oz Bryce & Baby B are spectacular Daddy Seth & brother Theo are beaming ear to ear :-)’ he wrote on the social networking.

The little girl’s arrival comes after Bryce told talk show Jay Leno back in August that she and her husband’s young son Theo, four, guessed that she was having a girl.

But despite finding out the sex of the baby, the couple didn’t reveal anything to the rest of the family.

Bryce starred in both The Help and cancer comedy 50/50 and collaborated on the film When You Find Me with her director father, Ron during her pregnancy.

Back in August, the actress revealed she suffered severe postnatal depression for 18 months after giving birth Theo.

She admitted that for a dark period she felt more ‘normal’ the further she was away from her son.

She told afternoon US show The Talk, which is co-presented by Sharon Osbourne, how she sought help to deal with the stressful issue and came out the other side.

It was so weird because he was born and it was just like this wave of nothingness,’ said the stunning redhead.

‘It lasted for a really long time. It lasted ultimately for 18 months.

‘It was like the further – again, a terrible thing to admit – but the further away that he was from me, the more normal I felt.

‘It was like the closer in proximity I got to him I just started to get sucked into this kind of really dark place. I mean it was insidious. It was horrible.’

The movie star finally beat the problem while undergoing homeopathic treatment for another issue.

She admitted that she felt worried that the depression would again return when her new baby arrived but felt confident enough to deal with it with the strong support of her friends and family.
