Brady Quinn

Brady QuinnBrady Quinn, Brady Quinn may be involved in a controversy NFL right now, but his heart is in the right place. Although his career is tanking and is taking a backseat to the less experienced athletes, still made it a priority to be with his girlfriend, gymnast Alicia Sacramone elite, who broke his Achilles tendon while in Tokyo in preparation for the world championships and surgery.  ?I can get a collective awwww?

I mean, seriously. It almost (almost) I’ve been watching for a second, because in reality? How many football players do this?

She had her surgery on Monday, and Twitter that Quinn be at his side.

The best boyfriend award goes to @ BQ9 for making red-eye from Denver to be here for my surgery today … another reason why I love him.

He is a good boyfriend. I mean, I know that husbands who do not by their wives who are in the same city, even if they have to work. And while the sports blogs may tease him and say he has nothing else to do, I think is pretty admirable.

We hear so many bad players beat their sports and girlfriends cheating on them and then jump over child support. So credit where credit is due. This is a good boyfriend. He and Sacramone have been together for a little over a year and priority is clearly her and her needs above his bad weekend.

He could have easily skipped it. But Sacramone probably needed emotionally. Achilles surgery is no small thing and can say that will not be able to achieve the objectives set for itself. In other words, it takes a lot of love and support.

This is the mark of a good man, a porter, if you will. If it were a cashier at a bank and were an employee of the grocery store, would be saying the same thing. That are well known, most successful athletes it is no more or less romantic. It just means that we have heard of him.

Good men are hard to find and Quinn can not play the best ball of the city, but still have the most important success, if it continues.

Brady Quinn Cheap Shot

Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn’s alleged cheap shot against Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has the sports world talking, and has Google rubberneckers taking “Brady Quinn cheap shot” all the way to the top of Google Trends. So what happened?

During the Ravens’ 16-0 rout of the Browns, Quinn threw the second of his two interceptions for the game, after which he attempted to make a tackle. Instead of the tackle, however, he dove right into Suggs’ knees, which resulted in Suggs leaving the game with a knee injury. According to Larry Brown Sports, Suggs suffered a strained knee, and may miss several weeks worth of play.

For his part, Quinn walked over to Suggs to talk to him, presumably to ask if the linebacker was OK. According to the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, Quinn told reporters after the game that he was “trying to go for the ball carrier” and that, at the last minute, Suggs came into his vision at the last second.

Nonetheless, Quinn was flagged 15 yards for the infraction, and will most likely be fined by the NFL later this week.

Quinn said, “I would never wish that upon anyone….I couldn’t be any more sorry about that. [To injure Suggs] was never the intent. I’m sorry to Terrell and the rest of their team.”

But some players aren’t buying Quinn’s explanation, opting to call what they see as a cheap shot a cheap shot. The Dealer reported that Ray Lewis, Suggs’ fellow linebacker for the Ravens, when asked about whether or not Quinn’s tackle was a cheap shot, said “Heck yeah it was a cheap shot…When you’re running down and you’re looking at the quarterback going at somebody’s knees who doesn’t even have the ball…That’s an illegal blow. I don’t care how you want to look at it.”

Brady Quinn delivered a chop block on Terrell Suggs during Monday night’s game that has Suggs injured indefinitely and the Baltimore Ravens understandably upset.

“Heck yeah it was a cheap shot,” Ray Lewis told the AP after Baltimore’s 16-0 win. “When you’re running down and you’re looking at the quarterback going at somebody’s knees who doesn’t even have the ball. I want to see if he gets the same fine I got or even higher. Now this man is out four or five weeks because of some baloney like that.”
