Bourne Legacy Trailer, The much anticipated first trailer for “The Bourne Legacy” has finally been unveiled. Highlighted in the promo video is how new lead actor Jeremy Renner decides to commit to a program called “Outcome”, which will transform him into a very dangerous super spy.

The sneak peek opens with an introduction to Renner’s new character, Kenneth Kitson from Reno, who doesn’t appear well. He’s got his left eyes bruised and his face speckled with blood. It is then followed with some nerve-wrecking actions as Kenneth, who will later be known as Aaron Cross, brutally knocks some bad guys down.

In addition to the intense trailer, Universal Pictures unleashed a brand new poster for the upcoming action movie. It gives a look at Renner holding a hand gun with a tagline that reads, “There was never just one.”

In the fourth “Bourne” movie, Renner is introduced as a new hero whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films. Though it will not see Matt Damon playing Jason Bourne anymore, Renner once promised that the next installment will be bigger than its predecessors.

“It’s the same tempo and pace but more expansive and bigger,” the 41-year-old thesp gushed. “The differences are pretty vast but you’ll know it’s a ‘Bourne’ movie.”

Plot details of the forthcoming movie remain scarce, but director Tony Gilroy once said that it will be a standalone one, not a reboot or prequel. He explained, “It’s a completely original screenplay. This is not a reboot or a recast or a prequel. No one’s replacing Matt Damon. There will be a whole new hero, a whole new chapter…this is a stand-alone project.”

Being scheduled to arrive in the U.S. theaters on August 17, “Bourne Legacy” is also supported by Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Albert Finney, Oscar Isaac and Joan Allen. In addition to working on the directing seat, Gilroy serves as the screenwriter along with Joshua Zetumer and George Nolfi.
