Blackberry OutageBlackberry Outage, BlackBerry users in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India were cut-mail for several hours, adding to the problems of combating manufacturer Research in Motion, increasingly seen as a takeover target.

Twitter users and Reuters correspondents from Britain to Dubai to New Delhi, reported interruptions or complete outages of your email and BlackBerry Messenger services.

RIM said in an email sent to Reuters New Delhi: “We are working to solve a problem that currently affects some of BlackBerry subscribers in Europe, Middle East and Africa and India.”

In Europe and Canada, which put out an identical, but omits reference to India.

“We are investigating, and we apologize to our customers for any inconvenience caused while this is resolved,” RIM said, declining to give further details.

RIM, which once belonged to the corporate market mobile email, has been losing market share to rivals led by the iPhone smartphone Apple and employees of the boardroom to demanding more choice.

Poor reception of his playbook tablet computer has increased pressure on RIM executives, while a number of senior officials have left.

Outage Monday following last month’s interruption of BlackBerry Messenger in the Americas.

Last month, investors pushed shares of RIM by 20 percent, o $ 3 million in value, sad after quarterly results, raising the prospect of a breakup, sale or new leadership.

21586272_400X300Blackberry Down:JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — E-mail service on BlackBerry mobile devices was interrupted Thursday morning. A spokesman for Sprint confirmed to Channel 4 that BlackBerry e-mail service is out across North America.

Blackberry users from other carriers also report the e-mail outage.

Research In Motion, the maker of BlackBerries, confirmed that its technicians are working on the problem, which they call delays in e-mail reception.

RIM said that BlackBerry users can send and receive phone calls and surf the Web and use text messaging. Only e-mail service is affected.

Twitter posts and a BlackBerry-user Web site dispute RIM’s statement, staying text messaging is also out, and some report the outage began as early as 3 a.m.

The last major BlackBerry outage — in February 2008 — was a three-hour disruption caused by an upgrade to RIM’s wireless system.
