Blackberry Lawsuit, After an outage recent BlackBerry, Research In Motion is facing two lawsuits from users of the devices, both in the U.S. and Canada. Despite an apology from RIM executives, a quite successful speech, and an extension of free premium application for BlackBerry users, two lawsuits are occurring over recent outage that left a number of customers without service at least two weeks around the world, but mostly affected users in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa, according to Mashable.
Demand in the United States was presented by Eric Mitchell BlackBerry user and seeks compensation for “service fees and legal costs.”

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. Wednesday in California on behalf of the costs of Mitchell, as well as all U.S. users. According to MSNBC, California has a whopping 2.4 million BlackBerry users in the state.
Demand in Canada, filed Tuesday in Quebec, calls for a similar cash compensation and full responsibility of the court, instead of extending an apology and free applications. Reported by eWeek, the demand for Canada says RIM “… not properly compensate for BlackBerry users who have paid for services that were not able to use.”
Currently, RIM is already facing a “transitional” period according to executives and market share rapidly shrinking competitors Apple and Google moved their own smartphones. As reported by Mashable, RIM is now and $ 3.4 million in revenue daily services from their BlackBerry devices and although the number of users has declined, they still have 16 million users only in the United States, 70 million users in total.
RIM was one of the first companies to create and sell a smartphone, BlackBerry have been introduced in 1999 and currently owns approximately 11 percent of market share, making it fourth in worldwide sales after Google, Nokia and Apple.
