Berkeley Earthquake, An earthquake of magnitude 2.8 – followed by a 1.3 magnitude quake – gently shook the East Bay on Saturday morning, causing little or no damage, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The agency said the quake occurred at 12:06 am with its epicenter in the Berkeley hills. The second quake rolled through eight minutes later, with the epicenter in the same neighborhood.
Several earthquakes shook Berkeley Thursday afternoon and again on Thursday night, reaching up to 4.0 magnitudes.
