Barney Frank ShirtBarney Frank Shirt, Outgoing Rep Barney Frank addressed U.S. House of Representatives today about the seriousness of bank failures. But his message was dwarfed by his epically distracting wardrobe choice – a snug blue shirt that prominently displayed what was underneath. This left a former Ted Kennedy staffer to muse whether the House floor’s heating had been turned off. ”Just saw the pic of Barney Frank on the House Foor,’ Scoot M. Ferson wrote on Twitter. ‘Did they turn off the heat?’ He then advised the representative to ‘wear an undershirt.’

The 71-year-old openly gay Massachusetts Democrat has been wearing a cast on his left hand after tearing a ligament on his thumb.
He draped his navy blazer over his shoulders, presumably because he couldn’t fit the cast through the sleeve.

‘It looks much worse than it actually is,’ Mr Frank told the Boston Globe of his injury. He said his more casual attire was because of the enormous size of the cast.
Mr Frank, who will retire next year, has not revealed how he injured his hand.
The Atlantic Wire called the look a ‘lame duck wardrobe malfunction,’ while the Huffington Post said the look was nothing short of ‘eye napalm.’
He diverged from the required and traditional House dress code of ‘a coat and tie for male Members.’
