Bank Of America Website IssuesBank Of America Website Issues, Bank of America Corp. (BAC), the largest bank by assets, said it had resolved problems with its website Monday night, after struggling to get it working at full speed from Friday, affecting companies and consumers over the first key-month.

Bank spokeswoman Tara Burke said that as of 6:30 EDT website problems has been completely fixed.

Bank of America is not saying why some customers trying to access the home page of your own bank or experienced delays or problems of access, but the bank said it was not the result of hacking or malware.

However, the long attracted attention because of the bank’s decision last week to charge some customers a monthly fee and 5 for debit card purchases, which caused outrage among its customers. Bank of America reiterated again Monday that there was no link between the commission of a debit card and website problems.

Burke said the messages were customers were “a proactive attempt” to address some of the traffic the site, allowing the bank to reduce the use and control the underlying cause.

“Sorry, but some of our pages are not available,” said a message on the website of the bank for most of Monday. “Thank you for your patience.”

The problems start for the first time on Friday, continued to affect Saturday and returned sporadically accounts Monday, key dates for paying customers on the first day of the month or due bills.

The bank has refused to give details if the problem is nationwide or affect only certain areas. Also, there has been a number of how many customers were affected.

Outside security experts said they believed that the problems and the bank’s response seemed to have the characteristics of a so-called denial of service attack, a move that tries to overwhelm the target server with a flow of data traffic.

Burke had said it was not a denial of continued service.

Whatever the cause, Bank of America should provide more details, said Richard J. Bortnick, an attorney with Cozen O’Connor, a specialist in cybernetics and technology risks.

“If the Bank of America is intentionally slow your system, transparency commands that tell your customers what they are doing, why they are doing and how long it should last,” Bortnick said.

Bank Debit rate the U.S. has raised the ire of many consumers and consumer groups last week, despite other large national banks that have undertaken similar measures recently. JP Morgan Chase & Co. (JPM) and Wells Fargo & Co. (WFC) are “evidence” the monthly debit cards in some regions, although both have been charging and 3 trials a month. Other banks have also announced monthly and 5, including SunTrust Banks Inc. (STI).

Monday, Senator Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) criticized the commission and urged customers of Bank of America to “vote with their feet. Get the heck out of that bank.” Meanwhile, President Barack Obama said the fee to get support for more consumer protection by the government.

In late June, the bank had 29.7 million active accounts online banking, more than half of whom pay using bank accounts, the services of the website. The days immediately around the first of the month tend to generate more volume in the bank’s website.
