Richmond Times Dispatch, (AP) – An exhibition of works from the personal collection of Picasso breaks records at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

Museum spokeswoman Suzanne Hall tells The Richmond Times-Dispatch that over 75,000 regular admission tickets were sold. Another 11,577 tickets were sold Reserved.

Hall says museum memberships have exceeded 31,000, a record. She said many new members could be attributed to the interest of Picasso.

“Picasso: Masterworks from the Musée National Picasso, Paris” opened in February and is scheduled to run until May 15

The exhibition includes 176 paintings by the artist, drawings, sculptures and engravings.

Richmond is the only stunt show on the East Coast.
