They Dated How Long?

They Dated How Long?, Are those wedding bells we hear for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt? Recent construction at the Hollywood “it” couple’s estate in France has fueled new rumors that they will soon walk down the aisle — several years (how many?) and a small brood later. Only time will tell whether Brangelina will get hitched, but let’s look at other prominent couples who took their time to say “I do” before living happily ever after.

In early 2005, Jolie was involved in a well-publicized Hollywood scandal when she was accused of being the reason for the divorce of actors Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. The allegation was that she and Pitt had started an affair during filming of Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005). She has denied this on several occasions, however admitted that they “fell in love” on the set. In an interview in 2005, she explained, “To be intimate with a married man, when my own father cheated on my mother, is not something I could forgive. I could not look at myself in the morning if I did that. I wouldn’t be attracted to a man who would cheat on his wife.”

While Jolie and Pitt never publicly commented on the nature of their relationship, speculations continued throughout 2005. The first intimate paparazzi photos emerged in April, one month after Aniston had filed for divorce; they showed Pitt, Jolie and her son Maddox at a beach in Kenya. During the summer Jolie and Pitt were seen together with increasing frequency and most of the entertainment media considered them a couple, dubbing them “Brangelina”. On January 11, 2006, Jolie confirmed to People that she was pregnant with Pitt’s child and thereby confirmed their relationship for the first time in public

Billy Bob Thornton

Billy Bob Thornton, Here are some things Billy Bob Thornton would like you to know about him: He’s a pretty normal guy who mostly hangs around his house in Los Angeles with his 18-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter. He doesn’t go to a lot of parties. He likes movies, music and baseball.

He knows you’ve heard different. “Supposedly, I’m a vampire and I wear vials of blood around my neck, which was all not true. Not true,” he says. Those were the rumours when he was married to Angelina Jolie, and people said they carried each other’s blood on necklaces. He did have a locket with a smear of her blood on it, “but the way they talked about it in the press (made it sound like) I wore a quart Mason jar around my neck, you know what I mean?”

Maybe you heard he’s afraid of antique furniture. This is also an exaggeration, although it is true that he doesn’t much like hotel rooms with old carved chairs and velvet cushions. “That stuff kind of creeps me out,” he says, but not for any spiritual reasons. “I just prefer a clean, modern table to eat my gravy off of. Not some dusty old s—. And that’s really all it is.”

There was also a rumour that he only ate orange food. “I have no idea where that came from. I probably went into some place one day and ordered only oranges because that’s all I wanted that day, and the next thing you know, the waiter said, ‘He only ordered oranges.'”

Still, if Thornton were a bit eccentric, you couldn’t blame him. When he was growing up in Arkansas, he had a distant father, “a very strange guy, very morbid, but I learned later he didn’t have the emotional capacity to really talk to his kids.” He wouldn’t let Billy Bob take piano lessons because he thought only “sissies” played piano (“I guess he only thought about Liberace or something”) and from the time Billy Bob was as young as four, he would take him to look at car accidents on the road.

That grisly hobby has been transferred to Thornton’s new movie, Jayne Mansfield’s Car, a family drama in which he plays one of three grown sons of an angry war veteran named Jim Caldwell during anti-Vietnam protests of the late 1960s. Jim, played by Robert Duvall, is based on Thornton’s father, and he drives down the back roads of Alabama with his grandson to view wrecks and bodies.

Angelina Jolie & Billy Bob Thornton, Angelina-Inspired Movie In The Works?: Billy Bob Thornton and Angelina Jolie’s three-year marriage made plenty of headlines – (remember that vial of blood controversy that turned out not to actually be a vial of blood?)– but is the actor/director using his time with the superstar as an inspiration for his upcoming movie, “And Then We Drove”? Despite reports claiming Angelina would be the muse in the movie, his rep told E! News, “This story is not true. It is neither based on nor inspired by his relationship with Angelina.” So, we’ll just leave you with this classic Billy Bob and Angelina footage… they sure knew how to kiss for the cameras!

RiRi’s Star-Studded Birthday Bash!: How did you spend your 24th birthday? Rihanna, who turns 24 on February 20, got an early start to the celebration on Monday in Beverly Hills, People reported. Fellow stars Katy Perry, Bruno Mars and Coldplay’s Chris Martin helped the singer ring in another year at the Caribbean-themed party at the Hearst Mansion. The partygoers reportedly popped open 20 bottles of Armand de Brignac Brut Gold Champagne and wished her the best with a birthday cake featuring an image of a Rihanna wearing a bikini on it.

Snooki & Jionni Forever!: Despite her antics on MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi says she and boyfriend Jionni LaValle are in it for the long haul. “It’s meant to be!” she said in a video interview with co-star Jenni “JWoww” Farley on Us Weekly. “We’re lucky to have found guys that we have found.” JWoww added, “Our men would still be doing what they’re doing now if it wasn’t for us. They’re not dating us for JWoww and Snooki — they’re dating us for Jenni and Nicole.”

“Real Housewife Of Beverly Hills” On The Outs?: “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” semi-star Dana Wilkey might have tried to impress her fellow ladies of the 90210 with $25,000 sunglasses, but apparently Bravo was not impressed. According to Radar, a show insider claims that they’d be “very surprised” if Dana and her pricy shades returned for Season 3. “None of the ‘Housewives’ really took to her this past season and, to be honest, she just wasn’t that interesting,” the insider claimed. “Yes, she’s wealthy but she doesn’t cause or get involved in any drama, which is really what producers are looking for.”
