America Next Top Model

America Next Top Model, “America’s Next Top Model’s” current all stars cycle ended Wednesday with a twist: one of the finalists was disqualified under mysterious circumstances.

It was down to Lisa D’Amato, Allison Harvard and Angelea Preston. The last episode was moving along as usual until the final judging panel, when host Tyra Banks announced that this was “a special finale … conducted under unusual circumstances.”

“It turns out that after shooting was wrapped, our production team and the network learned information from Angelea that disqualifies her from the competition,” judge Nigel Barker said during the finale. D’Amato was then named the winner.

The CW essentially explained the surprise disqualification the same way as Barker in a statement to Zap2It, not specifying what made Preston ineligible.

The site points to unconfirmed Internet speculation that Preston talked about the show’s current season on her Facebook page, which is reality show a no-no.

Preston has not said — and perhaps can not say — anything about her elimination on Facebook or Twitter. During the finale, she simply tweeted, “OMG!!!! IM TRENDING WORLDWIDE on twitter right now!!!!!!!!!! Wowwwww!! That’s the whole world!! Lol! #humbled!! Thanks y’all!!! #LOVE.”
