Seattle native Knox and her boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were jailed for 26 and 25 years respectively, for murder in 2007 in the university town of Perugia in central Italy.

Knox, 24, and Sollecito, 27, have protested their innocence.

A man from Ivory Coast, Rudy Guede, was found guilty of raping and murdering Kercher in a separate trial and is serving a sentence of 16 years.
