Jaya News, MADURAI: Go through the sea of posters and billboards that have been placed along the routes leading to the headquarters, where AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalithaa is expected to lead a demonstration against the state government, the party is undoubtedly banking MGR charisma to retrieve one of his strengths.

Although the majority of posters and billboards have a police record only the party’s founder, larger than life character the film has been invoked on many billboards. MGR film frames used in the fences seem to have not only captured the imagination of the younger generation, but also have older people on a trip down memory lane.

In a drive to the place of concentration, could be seen in different avatars MGR Movie – sober suits and colorful and ancient royal regalia, in his suit political and so on.

In fact, Madurai and its surroundings were a bastion of MGR in their happy days in the movies and after he entered politics. These are the districts around Madurai MGR always chose to participate in elections and invariably beat them. Even Andipatti, the constituency of the Assembly of the MGR and Jayalalithaa, near Madurai.

In recent years the elections shows that the AIADMK is not the favorite part of the people here, that the invocation of memory MGR came to hand to the party, which had not been with as prominently as they do now in campaign.

In addition to the hoarding and posters, in many ways, the public walls of Madurai have become a political battleground. Each letter of the wall and the AIADMK poster announcing the meeting on Monday, invariably, is juxtaposed with another poster paint or wall erected by supporters of the Union Minister MK chemicals Alagiri in praise of their leaders. There are some signs of supporters openly challenge Alagiri Jayalalithaa and proclaiming that the 2011 elections would be the absence of tension.

So it seems that the AIADMK rally is seen by supporters Alagiri as a challenge to the supremacy of his “Braveheart” (Anja Nenjan) in Madurai and its surroundings.

It is one reason why AIADMK also take very seriously the race, which boxes across the state to make a show of force.
