Iran Vs South Korea, As Afshin Ghotbi Iran coach put him on the eve of this match, it seems that South Korea and Iran in all Asian Cup. They will do so again tonight in Qatar.

This is the most anticipated match of the quarterfinals, with Iran for now prove the doubters wrong before the tournament by winning all its group matches and walk the last eight.

South Korea were not at their best patches commonly, but were excellent, with Cheol Koo Ja-net four goals, step by step in the absence of usual forward Park Chu-Young.

Both countries have five titles in the Asian Cup between them, but their last triumph was in 1960 (South Korea) and 1976 (Iran).

Iran is desperate for silverware after failing to qualify for the 2010 World Cup, while South Korea feel a real opportunity to consolidate their position as Asia’s top with the likes of Australia Japan and failing to hit top form in this tournament.

On paper, they have a much stronger side, with the likes of Park Ji-sung and Lee Chung-Yong established European stars.

However, Afshin Ghotbi led Iran impressive in their first match and despite the absence of star names (save for Javad Nekounam and Masoud Shojaei), they came together to produce displays fine team.

South Korea is a test quite different to people like the members of Group D relatively soft; side Cho Kwang-Rae are almost impossible to contain when at their best, moving smartly on and off the ball.

Their tendency to be overrawed at the rear by a more direct approach was emphasized during their second half against Australia, even if it could be a weakness Iran seeks to exploit. The Iranians are untalented Afshin Arash after being sent off against United Arab Emirates
