A Very Gilly Christmas, With the other networks in a pre-holiday rerun stupor, NBC finished first in primetime last night with the only original offering.

The network averaged a 2.0 adults 18-49 rating and 6 share for the night, according to Nielsen, slightly ahead of No. 2 CBS at 1.9/5.

NBC’s “Saturday Night Live Presents: A Very Gilly Christmas” tied for the night’s top-rated show with CBS’s “NCIS: Los Angeles,” with both programs drawing a 2.1 rating.

“Gilly,” a collection of “SNL” clips hosted by Kristen Wiig’s alter ego Gilly, was down 9 percent from last year. This marked the third year the special has run.

NBC did see some growth from a disappointing debut of the limited-run show “Who’s Still Standing?” in night two. “Standing” grew 20 percent from a 1.5 on Monday to a 1.8 last night, second in its timeslot behind CBS’s “NCIS” rerun.

“Standing” was the only original show on any Big Five network last night.

With NBC and CBS well ahead for the night, Univision finished in third place at 1.4/4, ABC fourth at 1.1/3, Fox fifth at 1.0/3, Telemundo sixth at 0.6/2 and CW seventh at 0.3/1.

As a reminder, all ratings are based on live-plus-same-day DVR playback, which includes shows replayed before 3 a.m. the night before. Seven-day DVR data won’t be available for several weeks. Forty-two percent of Nielsen households have DVRs.
