911 Memorial, On the ninth anniversary of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center Twin Towers in New York, which changed the world, the National Memorial Museum from 1911 to 2009 & has created and released an application on the Apple App Store as a guide to understanding 9 / 11 through the eyes of who witnessed the events. The app has three functions:

Tour
A seven-stop walking tour of the area around the World Trade Center, accompanied by audio and photo story. The events of the day and its aftermath are told by first responders, rescue workers, volunteers and people who lived and worked in Lower Manhattan on 9 / 11. Although the walk takes place in lower Manhattan, the tour content is accessible to users worldwide.

Investigate
View images related to the events of 9 / 11 and its aftermath, taken in the area where you are. Images can be viewed in Augmented Reality technology fashion, which overlays images on the camera. Survivors and witnesses through 911history.org contributed all photos to the museum.

Timeline
An interactive timeline of the day’s events and the aftermath. Includes links to witness these pictures taken during time blocks.

The app can work in an offline mode for non-American visitors who disabled data roaming. In this mode, all the tour content is still accessible. The app contains a map of free WiFi hotspots in the vicinity of the tours to download Explore photos of the area.
