2012 Lincoln Navigator

February 27, 2012 by · Comments Off on 2012 Lincoln Navigator

2012 Lincoln Navigator, Ford has issued a recall on its 2012 Lincoln Navigator SUV as well as the vehicle’s Blue Oval twin, the Expedition.

The reason is due to the vehicles’ head restraints, which may have inadequate welds on their support brackets.

The affected head restraints are only those found on the right-hand seat of the second row, and the only affected vehicles are 2012 Navigators and 2012 Expeditions built from November 19 through to December 2, 2011.

According to Ford, the seat head restraint may not provide the required strength in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

In total there are some 569 potentially affected vehicles.

Owners of the affected vehicles should take their cars to their nearest Ford or Lincoln dealer, which will replace the head restraints free of charge. For further information you can also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at 1-888-327-4236 (reference recall campaign number 12V034000) or Ford at 1-866-436-7332.

February 2012 Vehicle Recalls, Porsche is issuing a recall of 20,278 Cayenne SUVs from the 2011- and 2012 model years including the base model as well as the S, Hybrid and Turbo. The vehicles in question, produced from March 8, 2010 up to January of this year, may have been fitted with faulty headlight locking assemblies.
