2012 Grammy Performances, Chris Brown accepts award for best R&B album for “F.A.M.E.” during the 54th Annual Grammy Awards Sunday in Los Angeles.
If there was one message that was made clear following Sunday’s Grammy awards, it was this: Don’t make Miranda Lambert mad.

The country sweetheart took to Twitter Monday to give her fans – and the Twitterverse at large – a piece of her mind about one singer’s supposed comeback.

“How dang long did they give Nicki Minaj to do whatever that was? Strange. And Chris Brown twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl,” Lambert wrote.

“Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen. He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.”

“Gunpowder & Lead” is one of Lambert’s hits off her 2007 album “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” about a woman who gets ready to shoot and kill her abusive husband as soon as he’s released from jail.

Among the lyrics: “He slap my face and he shook me like a rag doll, don’t that sound like a real man. I’m going to show him what a little girl’s made of: gunpowder and lead.”

Subtle, Lambert is not.

Brown, 22, was charged with two felonies – for assault and making criminal threats – after beating then-girlfriend Rihanna the night of the 2009 Grammy awards, and has been trying to make a comeback ever since.
