WWE news and notes, February 21, 2010:Here are a few items of interest around the WWE community as we head into the Elimination Chamber event tonight in St. Louis.
WWE has announced that on April 26, Raw be a live 3-hour broadcast. Raw will roll the cameras into the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia. Interesting to note that Shawn Michaels is scheduled for the event, although he is scheduled to take his annual spring/summer vacation following WrestleMania. As always, card is subject to change, so plans could change at anytime.
It has been announced that William Regal will replace MVP on the new show “WWE NXT” as he will be paired with Skip Sheffield. No word yet on what MVP’s role will be on the show or if he will be dropped altogether. All of the scheduled participants in the show now have profiles up at WWE.com, including Bryan Danielson (under the name of Daniel Bryan), who was trained by Shawn Michaels.
Former WWE Women’s Champion Gail Kim turned 34 yesterday. What a birthday present it would be if Gail could walk out of tonight’s PPV with the WWE Divas Championship. This will be her first singles match on PPV since returning to the company a few months back.

“StoneCold” Steve Austin will be the honorary race starter for today’s NASCAR Auto Club 500 race in San Bernadino, California. He made the announcement this week on his new Twitter page.
Chris Jericho will be hosting the Golden God Awards along with Andrew WK at Club Nokia in Los Angeles reports Metalinjection.net. The show, which is being described as the only metal awards show in the U.S., will be taped on April 8.
The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, which took place at Reliant Stadium here in Houston last year, topped the WWE’s top DVD sales list for 2009, with an estimated 248,000 units shipped. In order behind Mania was The Rise And Fall of WCW (172,000 units), The Best of Saturday Night’s Main Event (133,000 units), and The Greatest Wrestling Stars of the 80s (118,000 units).
