“It’s hard to win a Super Bowl, even more difficult to win two,” says All-Star Packers cornerback Charles Woodson. “So I think if you really want to be considered a great team, great, then you win two, to win back to back. We will work hard to try to ensure that happens.”

Cleveland Browns head coach PAT SHURMUR will debut on Saturday night in front of the home crowd. In 2010, Shurmur served as the coordinator for St. Louis Rams offense and helped the No. 1 selection in the draft in 2010, Sam Bradford, the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

New York Jets at Houston (Monday, ESPN, 8:00 PM ET): The New York Jets and Houston Texans kickoff in Monday night as the two teams look to the next step in 2011.
The Jets have advanced to the championship game of the AFC in consecutive years. Much of the success in New York depends on quarterback Mark Sanchez. The caller of 24 years the signal has a record of 19-12 (.613) as a starter and enters his third season as the undisputed leader of the Jets.

“When the boys know their quarterback is the hardest working player in the locker room, through the mental preparation, preparation of pre-season and all that, it’s hard not to respect that,” said Jets head coach Rex Ryan. “He knows every position now, where are you supposed to be. That’s awesome. I think everyone sees him as the leader now. I think everybody recognizes that.”

The Houston Texans will be set-up for their high power offense with running back Arian Foster, wide receiver Andre Johnson and quarterback Matt Schaub.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Texans first-year defensive coordinator Wade Phillips will use rookie defensive end JJ Watt and veteran rookie cornerback Johnathan Joseph, along with returning All-Stars – Ryan DE MECO linebacker and defensive end Mario Williams.

Rivers led the NFL with 4.710 passing yards in 2010 and joined the Pro Football Hall of Famer Dan Fouts as the only quarterbacks the Chargers to reach 4,000 yards in three consecutive seasons.

“What separates the great from the guys that are close, is that big that everyone around them better,” said Chargers coach Norv Turner. “I’ve never been around a man in his position that he had to do more than he did last year Felipe. To me, that’s the sign of the type of the next level.”

Jackson, who registered 20 starts in five seasons (2006-2010) with the Vikings, has been named the starting quarterback of the champions of the NFC West defense.

“Tarvaris provides continuity for us, I think is best for our club,” says head coach of the Seahawks, Pete Carroll. “I think this guy is a heck of a prospect that has already been accepted by our players and coaches. Which brings us something special. It is a very talented guy.”
