15-Pound Baby, A new mom in England got the shock of her life when the she gave birth to her son George six weeks ago-and he came out weighing a whopping 15 pounds 7 ounces.

“He’s a little miracle-well, a big miracle, really,” Jade King, who birthed George vaginally, told the BBC.

No one realized just how big George was until his head had emerged, at which point his shoulders got temporarily stuck and he went without oxygen for five minutes.

“There was about 20-odd doctors in the room, and that’s when it got really scary,” King recalled.

Once the baby was out, he was given a 10 percent chance of survival and transferred from Cheltenham to another hospital, in Bristol. He was kept there for four and a half weeks and then went home, and just received normal results from an MRI.

“It might just be that he’s a little big slow with his learning,” his mom added. “So hopefully it’s just minor little things.”

George has only gained a pound since his birth, and has been wearing clothes sized for a 3-to-6-month old from day one (his mom had to give away all the newborn onesies that were awaiting him at home). He is the second-biggest baby ever born vaginally in the UK, according to various reports; the larger baby weighed just an ounce more.

15 Pound Baby, The Year of the Dragon has blessed a Chinese family with a baby boy weighing 15.52 pounds (7kg). Baby Chun Chun was born in a hospital in Xinxiang city, Henan, to a 29 year old mother which apparently has given birth to a baby girl before but she weight a healthy 8 pounds.

According to DailyMail the baby boy’s mother stated that she felt that her pregnancy is special as she saw her baby belly growing slightly larger than with her previous pregnancy. She said that:
“I clearly felt that my body was more clumsy than when I had been pregnant with my daughter. My belly was bigger than it was then. I guessed the baby would be between 4.5 and 5kg. I never expected to hear that he weighs 7 kg (15 pounds).”

Chun Chun, who is twice the weight of a normal child could now hold the record for being the country’s heaviest babies. His father, Han Jingang, stated that he is delighted that his son was born healthy and that he is a ‘dragon’ baby. He said:
“My wife was not different from other pregnant women. She ate and drank normally as she should. But she’s given birth to such a big, fat son. Today is the first day of spring in the Chinese calendar and he’s a ‘dragon baby’. I feel very happy.”
