Swift & Tornado Benefit, Taylor Swift is to let the fans see her try to raise money for U.S. tornado victims. The “Romeo and Juliet”, the singer is selling ticket to the makeshift “Speak now … Help Now!” benefit on Saturday, May 21 to allow 13,000 fans to a preview of their upcoming U.S. tour before it starts.
She said in a statement, “I was watching coverage of tornadoes in the backstage of the trials, and I wanted to do something for families affected by the damage.”
“I’ve never opened a trial to the public before, but I felt I invite my fans the ultimate test for the ‘Speak Now Tour’ would be a good way to raise money.”
Taylor has pledged all proceeds from the event – held at the Arena of Bridgestone in Nashville, Tennessee – would be donated to relief funds for victims of a wave of tornadoes that recently devastated parts of the southeastern U.S.
The “better than revenge,” the singer has done extensive work to help relief efforts worldwide, including support earthquake relief in Japan and New Zealand and in case of flooding in Australia in recent six months.
The first leg of their North American World Tour Taylor talks now starts Friday, May 27 in Nebraska.
