Susan Boyle I Dreamed A Dream Musical Opens March 23, Britain’s Got Talent Susan Boyle will be joining the cast at some venues on an eleven week tour of the musical about her life story, I Dreamed a Dream, which opens at Newcastle Theatre on 23rd March next year and visits Aberdeen, Bradford, Liverpool, Dublin, Bristol, Southend, Cardiff, Birmingham, Inverness and Manchester where it ends on 23rd June.

Susan will be making a surprise appearance at certain venues. This will be her first performance in the UK on stage since the Britain’s Got Talent tour in 2009. She said: “I am thrilled to be a part of the musical about my life story and very much looking forward to stepping on stage and performing with the cast. It is an honest portrayal of my life and has been a cathartic process to be involved in.”

Taking the lead role of Susan Boyle is Elaine C Smith (Calendar Girls and Mary Doll in Rab C Nesbitt). Pat and Bridie Boyle (Susan’s parents) will be played by James Paterson and Karen Mann; the role of Lorraine Campbell (Susan’s childhood friend) will be played by Ashleigh Gray; Susan’s manager Andy Stephens will be played by Jeffrey Harmer and Liz Ewing will take the role of Mrs Johnstone (Susan’s school teacher). Other roles will be played by Gordon Cooper, Anne Smith, Frances Mayli McCann, David Haydn and Alan McHugh.
