Super Adventure Club

Super Adventure Club, Ones that end in round numbers may cause a serious freak-out, or you can tackle head on. To celebrate the beginning of a new decade, my husband decided to riding a metric century would be the most appropriate form of celebration – and drive 66 miles we did.
The Harvest Ride in Hopland, Calif., provided the right amount of challenge for our party of two pedaling. Grateful for the rest stops every 12 miles or more, we stayed hydrated and ate grapes, bananas and cups of trail mix as required – mmm, salted peanuts with M & M. The road through southern Mendocino County took us past many vineyards, farm large pot, and the stable of the famous sea horse cookie-great-great-granddaughter. Most roads are quiet country roads, but there were some strange routing through Ukiah (population 15,500). After completing our metric century, we were treated to barbecue and beer – my fave recovery drink. This little tour was super fun with a product benefiting the Boys and Girls Club of Ukiah. Once back at our hotel we swam (as close to an ice bath that I could ever do) and hot tubbed, the two I highly recommend it for pain relief after a long drive.
