Sunshine List Missing Top CEO Salary

March 26, 2012 by staff

Sunshine List Missing Top CEO Salary, Ontario’s Sunshine club swelled by 10% this past year with many CEOs and other senior executives pulling in salaries that topped $500,000 last year while working in the cash-strapped public sector.

The top money maker was Ontario Power Generation Tom Mitchell who was paid a $1.8 million annual salary to run an 11,000-employee organization which includes nuclear facilities.

There were many other examples of $500,000-plus earners in hospitals, hydro companies and even universities — brass who pulled in more than double the salary of the Premier of Ontario.

There are five volumes of the Sunshine List this year — all are available online — which names 78,901 civil servants whose salary is $100,000 a year or more.
