Summer Solstice 2011Summer Solstice 2011, The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) encourages First Nations and all Canadians to participate in the celebration of National History Month Aboriginal and National Aboriginal Day at the Summer Solstice Aboriginal Arts Festival in Ottawa this weekend.
DATES: June 17, 2011 6:00 pm – June 19, 2011
LOCATION: Lebreton Flats Park, Ottawa, ON Summer Solstice Aboriginal Arts Festival is one of the few Aboriginal art events that truly represent the cultural diversity of urban Aboriginal community, with full participation of First Nations artist’s mestizos and Inuit.

The festival will begin with a Grand Entry Friday June 17 at 6:00 pm, with First Nations, Metis and Inuit veterans and youth. The festival will also feature interactive programming course for children and families (pony rides, petting zoo, bouncy castles, stilt walkers) a native village with artisan workshops, interactive arts, demonstrations and vendors, and powwow dance competition with over 800 dancers.

Showbiz are natives of Canada, we Got Talent! Shy Anne Hovorka, Kaivan and Shane Yellowbird headliner.
