SuburbanSuburban:HUNTSVILLE, Texas – A Dallas man has been executed for breaking into an apartment in the suburbs of a neighbor for almost 19 years and shooting his wife while he was on bail on a charge of child abuse.

Fifty-four years old, Juan Alba died on Tuesday night. It was the 11th prisoner executed this year in Texas, the busiest death penalty state. Another execution is scheduled for next week.

Testimony in the trial of Alba showed that he and his wife of 28 years, Wendy, had a rocky marriage marked by alcohol abuse, infidelity and domestic violence. A prosecutor said that Alba made her way into the apartment of a neighbor and neighbor Wendy Alba and tried to block the door. He shot his wife three times.

Alba was executed by lethal injection after the U.S. Supreme Court rejected his appeal.
