Study finds fecal matter on cellphonesStudy finds fecal matter on cellphones, If you are a heavy cell phone user listen. A new study shows that one in six mobile phones is contaminated with the bacterium E. coli. What’s worse is that the bacteria in your phone may come from fecal matter.

So how do you get bacteria on your phone? E. coli can get on the phone in different ways. The easiest way is via your phone with you in the bathroom.

“Cell phones go where people go,” says Dr. Ron Reynolds of the urgent attention of the beach. “And people can make some calls in very unusual and unexpected.”

An easy way to start the fight against pollution is to make sure they wash their hands frequently. But even it can not be kept clean to avoid contamination.

“There are plenty of opportunities for cross-contamination,” says Dr. Reynolds. “Also, to realize how much bacteria is on a keyboard, and usually go directly from a keyboard to your cell phone.”

Fortunately, anti-bacterial disinfectant wipes cell phone and are fairly easy to find, and easy cleaning of the phone can mean a drastic drop in the risk of contamination. And experts say it’s one thing to do, since E. Coli is a bacterium unpleasant.

“You really do not want to go one on one with that type of bacteria,” says Dr. Reynolds, “because they usually win.”
