Steelers, Lions fans have waited more than eight months to see his team back on the field and looked like the PGA Championship, delayed television coverage. Fortunately, the only thing missing was the kickoff coverage, eventually commuted.
The pressure of Kyle Vanden Bosch lead to an incomplete pass to stop operation of the Steelers opening. The first punt of the first lead when Derrick Williams blunder signal for a fair catch inside the five yard line. Not the kind of first impression I had to do.
Best Yahweh showed a quick burst of his luggage was not able to pick up a first down in short yardage situations in his third year in a row lead to bring the Lions first drive of the preseason to an abrupt end.
Pittsburgh second unit showed the best of the Lions’ defensive line is. Cliff Avril planted Byron Leftwich to put the Steelers in a second and long term and a QB hurry Kyle Vanden Bosch said the Steelers would have no chance to pick up a first down. Great victory for the defensive line.
Matthew Stafford got his first interception of the road. Probably a lot of blame to go when faced with a pass rush your check up and he even bounced off the hands of the best Yahweh. The defense looked solid again, as it keeps the Steelers to a field goal. Safety Randy Phillips looked good in run support.
Best Yahweh first attack outside the tackles was a perfect example of the kind of thing that Kevin Smith brings simplay can not play. Best turned the corner quite easily for the former. His spin move in the backfield at the same time a loss in another first.
Matthew Stafford seeks precisely to the first quarter of play. Quarter ends with the Lions 3-0, while threatening to put points on the scoreboard.
