Steel Magnolias Remake, 1.989 The hit drama movie “Steel Magnolias” starring Dolly Parton and Julia Roberts, is receiving a reset that is set by a colorful cast black. The Lifetime cable network, which like the film is aimed at women, is the development of the television movie to be directed by Kenny Leon, Deadline.com said.
A source familiar with the matter confirmed that the report OnTheRedCarpet.com on Wednesday, October 12, adding that members of the cast or production dates have been announced.
Representatives of all life has no comment. Leon has been in charge of the ABC television movie “A Raisin in the Sun” starring Diddy and “The Cosby Show” actress Phylicia Rashad, and episodes of “Ghost Whisperer” and shows “Private Practice”.
“Steel Magnolias” is based on a 1987 play by Robert Harling. Deadline.com informed that the restart plot will be similar to that of the original “Steel Magnolias,” the movie, which shows the bond that forms between a group of women in Louisiana.
Daryl Hannah, Shirley MacLaine, Olympia Dukakis and Sally Field also starred in the film, which earned an Oscar nomination as Best Supporting Roberts Actress.
