Stage Collapse ‘Resident Evil’, Constable Wendy Drummond, a spokesman for the Toronto Police Services, said a dolly on the film set in Cinespace Film Studios in Kipling Avenue went without a name as the actors moved from one place to another stage.
The sudden movement led to a collapse of the platform and 16 people injured. The Toronto Star newspaper reported that a dozen actors dressed as zombies had been moving through the acoustic environment platform when it collapsed.
Ambulance staff and firefighters rushed to the scene of the sinking stage in Toronto, had to distinguish between real actors wounds and bandages and fake blood that is part of his costume zombie Resident Evil 5.
Drummond said that ten of the wounded were sent to a local hospital.
None of the injuries are considered life threatening.
Resident Evil: 3D Retribution, the fifth installment of the videogame franchise film that stars Milla Jovovich, is shooting at Cinespace Kipling study in west Toronto at December 23, ahead of a September 14, 2012 release .

A spokesman for Cinespace Film Studios had no comment on the incident, the industrial workplace.
And the production office of Resident Evil 5, said a statement would be issued later Tuesday morning.
