Splitting the pole superstition origin, “Split the Pole” refers to a superstitious belief that if a group of 2 or more people walk through a pole i.e. telephone (some people are walking on both sides of the pole) it will cause bad luck. In this line Wale is using “split the pole” to refer to his desire to have sex with multiple women — “split” could indicate the spreading of a woman’s legs to gain access to his “pole” or pns. By indicating that he is not superstitious further strengthens his allusion to the superstition
