Slave Lake Fire, The map combines a satellite photo of Slave Lake, taken on May 18, 2011, with a map published by the Alberta government, which shows the damaged areas of the city. Forest fires damaged about a third of Slave Lake. The damage is clearly visible in the satellite photo and is mainly concentrated in the southeast corner and the center of the city.
Zooming in on the map clearly shows some houses that are badly burned and many have remained safe from fire. Red areas were destroyed, Rosa suffered some damage and green areas were not affected.
Use your mouse to navigate the map. Click and drag to move around the area. Zoom in and use your mouse scroll wheel or clicking the zoom tool on the corner of the map.
