Sister Places Fake Obituary For Brother

Sister Places Fake Obituary For Brother, It’s one thing to wish your brother was dead… it’s another to tell the whole world he is when he really isn’t! A Colorado man says he was shocked to read about his own death in the local newspaper.

Imagine what that must have been like for his wife. She kissed him goodbye as he went off to work and then picked up the paper to read that he had died almost two weeks ago. Hmmmmmm, something’s not quite right there.

The obit may have called him “Edward” instead of “Edgar” but the rest of his family was listed correctly, so they knew it was supposed to be about him.

“I thought it was like a ‘Final Destination’ thing… like I was seeing my death or reading my death before it really happened,” Edgar Balderrama told KDVR.

His wife called to find out who placed the obituary and the paper told her it was Edgar’s sister. He says she hasn’t fessed up as to why she did it but at least she had nice things to say, calling him “a real hard worker” and saying “He had a great sense of humor and would make everyone laugh.”

But you know who wasn’t laughing? Edgar’s grieving family and friends, who showed up at his house to pay their respects to his wife.

Edgar says the ordeal caused his family so much grief that they went to police, who have charged his sister with harassment.

If there’s any good that has come from all of this, it’s that Edgar now feels like he has a second chance at life.
