Similac Recall 2010, Abad recalled 5,000,000 Similac brand products on Thursday, after one of its manufacturing plants of beetles found in production facilities that might have infiltrated the packaging powdered baby formulas. However, since the recall was announced this morning, the company is virtually impossible to achieve, either by web or phone.
Because many people are trying to access the phone lines and website, most cannot pass and the Abbot has announced it is adding phone lines and Internet capabilities to support research. For now, if you have a product Similac, and is in a rectangular plastic tub, it is probably one of the recalled products. If retained, depending on the batch number printed on the bottom.

The FDA said the affected products do not pose a serious health threat to children and the Abbot said that only 0.2 percent of the recalled products is estimated to be affected.
