Sick Teen Says She’s Eaten Only McNuggets

Sick Teen Says She’s Eaten Only McNuggets, A 17-year-old Birmingham girl was rushed and admitted to the hospital this week after she collapsed at work and had trouble breathing, During her hospital stay she was placed on an urgent course of vitamins, which included injections.

What would make a teen, who looks reasonably healthy, get so sick? Her diet. The problem is she is fixated on eating McDonald’s chicken McNuggets. And if she’s not eating the nuggets from McDonald’s, she’s eating KFC or supermarket versions of the fried food.

Reportedly Stacey Irvine has been told straight out by doctors she’ll die if she doesn’t change her diet and make better food choices, but she can’t stop eating this unhealthy food. With this hospitalization doctors found she had swollen veins in her tongue and has anemia.

According to the U.K. Sun, 17-year-old Stacy said, “I am starting to realise this is really bad for me. McDonald’s chicken nuggets are my favourite. I share 20 with my boyfriend with chips.”
Her mother, Evonne Irvine, 39, has been struggling with her daughter to eat other, more healthy choices, but to no avail. Her daughter has never routinely eaten fruits or vegetables.

She told The Sun, “I’m at my wit’s end. I’m praying she can be helped before it’s too late. It breaks my heart to see her eating those damned nuggets.”

The Daily Mail reported Stacy has been hooked on chicken nuggets since she was a toddler at age 2 and hasn’t eaten anything else since.

“I first tasted chicken nuggets when my mum took me to McDonald’s when I was two,” Irvine told The Sun. “I loved them so much they were all I would eat. I just couldn’t face even trying other foods. Mom gave up giving me anything else years ago.”
