Sherlock To Resume Filming In 2013, Sherlock will not resume filming until early 2013, it has been revealed. Fans have been left on a knife-edge after the cliffhanger of the recent second run saw Conan Doyle’s updated detective fake his own death after a final battle with nemesis Moriarty, with feverish online speculation as to how he did it.
But they will have a longer wait on their hands than many would like. Executive Beryl Vertue told the BBC’s in house magazine Ariel that shooting will take place in “early 2013″. She added that it was too early to say when the episodes would be broadcast.
The delays are likely down to the schedules of all involved. Co-creator Steven Moffat is currently working on the next series of Doctor Who, which resumed filming last month. Meanwhile its stars are filming major Hollywood movies.
