Shark Swallows Another Shark Whole

Shark Swallows Another Shark Whole, A shark swallowed another shark while cameras caught the astonishing event in a picture. National Geographic released the stunning photograph taken by Daniela Ceccarelli from the Research Council Center of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies in Australia.

Ceccarelli and David Williamson were conducting a fish census near Great Keppel Island when she was able to capture the amazing sight in a picture. The photographer saw a brown-banded bamboo shark near the bottom of the ocean. When she went closer to investigate, she saw the camouflaged wobbegong shark with the other fish in its mouth. It was eating the killer whole!

Apparently the scene that Ceccarelli captured in this stunning photo is actually quite common. These brown-banded bamboos or carpet sharks usually lurk at the bottom of the ocean and often eat giant meals like this. Wow! Did you have any idea? Without this astonishing picture you may never have realized this is the way the creature eats. Isn’t it neat that you learn something every day?
