Seattle Terror Plot, A California man has pleaded guilty to charges alleging that he planned to attack a U.S. military recruiting center in Seattle, Washington, with grenades and high-powered assault rifles, prosecutors said Thursday.

Walli Mujahidh, 32, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction and unlawful possession of a firearm, according to U.S. Attorney Jenny A. Durkan.

If the plea is accepted by the judge, Mujahidh could face up to 32 years behind bars.

“This defendant tried to carry out a plot to kill American servicemen and women, and other innocent citizens who happened to be at the federal facility on the day of the planned attack,” said Durkan.

Following Mujahidh’s expected prison term, he will be placed on federal supervised release for life.

Mujahidh, 32, formerly of Los Angeles, and alleged co-conspirator Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif, 33, initially planned their attack on Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington state, but later decided to assault the recruiting station, according to an earlier Justice Department statement.
