Season’s First Snow In Denver

October 27, 2011 by staff

Season’s First Snow In Denver, A fall storm brought the first snow of the season in Colorado, knocking out power to thousands, but exciting skiers. About 5 inches of snow fell in Denver Wednesday, with the fall in areas further north.
Branches of trees, many still with leaves, is hindered by the snow and broke, breaking power lines.

The taste of winter came when President Barack Obama made his second visit to Denver in less than a month. The last time I visited some people fainted from the heat.

The same storm also brought snow to Utah and Wyoming, which was temporarily closed part of Interstate 80 between Cheyenne and Laramie.

The mountains of Colorado also has snow earlier this month and three stations are now open for the season.
