Seal Beach Shooting updates

Seal Beach ShootingSeal Beach Shooting, The shooting of Seal Beach is one of the most horrible things out of a custody battle in a long time the children. Currently, there are eight people dead and one person in critical condition.

The alleged shooter, Scott Dekraai, was arrested a few blocks from Meritage lounge, full store, where he opened fire. Witnesses say he was pointing to his former wife, who was in a custody dispute with him.

The magnitude of this crime is enormous, to say the least. Innocent people who had nothing to do with the gunman and his ex have died, leaving their families and friends with a bottomless hole in their lives. But unfortunately, the horrible crimes that are the result of a battle for custody of the children are very common these days. Maybe the family courts must take action instead of taking money from people and call it a day. Just a thought.

See, the firing of Seal Beach is not the only horrible crime we’ve seen in recent years due to the discussions about the children. It was the University of California graduate student who shot and killed his ex-wife on campus for a discussion of his four-year-old son two years. Then a year later, there was the woman in Portland who threw her two children off a bridge after her ex was granted custody a month earlier. And then who could forget the man who was beheaded in front of the house of his ex-wife after a fight for their children.

These people are not normal. And I’m not making excuses for them. However, the Family Courts should put a little more and effort in evaluating the mental state of both parties – especially the loser – instead of spending the next case. The sad fact is – people do crazy things these days. And if we know that custody battles said trigger is something that crazy sht, why not do something about it?

“Investigators said they were still struggling to rebuild what provoked such violence.” Really? I have an idea what triggered it. And maybe, just maybe, could have been avoided.
