Scotty Mccreery World Series, Last night at Busch Stadium, St. Louis Cardinals beat the Texas Rangers 3-2 in the opening game of the 2011 World Series. The biggest event of the year baseball began with the usual pomp and circumstance, with a cameo by first lady Michelle Obama and a national anthem performance winner of American Idol and Billboard Scotty McCreery.
Luckily, McCreery performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” was more intense than the jacket, unfortunately tainted World Series, and also managed to overcome a bit of a technical blunder at the beginning (the first step a great performance is in turn at the microphone).
It is still a bit shocking to hear that voice of McCreery’s face, but managed to avoid the usual pitfalls are associated with the song. He had lots of practice, as he performed before a football match of the State of North Carolina a few weeks ago.
For those of you who are not interested in baseball (which is a shame because this series is more even in recent times), but certainly related to music and patriotism, Fox announced that the remaining scheduled anthem singer-thing three games remaining.
It is a special country-tinged lineup: Trace Adkins take the microphone before the game tonight, with Ronnie Dunn held down before the game Saturday night in Arlington, Texas. The most interesting performance comes Sunday night in Texas, which include New Girl and she & Zooey Deschanel members will face “The Star-Spangled Banner” before game four.
Scotty check out performance below and let us know who you’d like Major League Baseball to make your reservation to sing the national anthem of the World Series extend beyond four games. Does anyone else hope that San Luis Nelly has the opportunity to own down the rockets’ red glare?
