School Bus Hits House, A school bus leaving a Catholic elementary school crashed into a house on Long Island Wednesday afternoon, NBCNewYork.com reports.
Syosset Fire Chief Peter Silver said the driver “had a medical emergency of some kind.” Newsday reported that he was airlifted to a hospital in East Meadow, where he was admitted in a serious but stable condition.
The five children on the bus ranged in age from 5 to 8, but none was injured, police said.
