Saturday Night Live, The end of what has been a very mediocre 36th season of Saturday Night Live, Lorne Michaels and the group this year of not very ready for prime time players chose two superstars, Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, we take in summer. Timberlake, who hosted the show for the fourth time, is a known quantity, start out explosion of the Internet as “Dick in a Box” and “Motherlover” with Saturday Night Live Andy Samberg unconditional.
In a departure from two of his first three concerts, accommodations, Timberlake was not the musical guest. SNL producers chose Lady Gaga, who was recently given birth to the golden goose eggs (more on that in a second) with literally everything he has done. It was a good choice.
The show began with a clever and funny actually mocked Dominique Strauss-Kahn to macroeconomics (and prison rape, but is, after all, a comedy show.) When it came time for the SNL video short, hopefully with some suspicion as reliable sources told us it would be a sequel to “Dick in a Box.” The video actually begins where “Motherlover” left. This time the duo, perfectly equipped with the best team in the early 90′s, are appearing for a booty call at the same time, and winning most of the provisions is none other than Lady Gaga
But SNL’s bread and butter, the skits were hit and miss. Timberlake repeated his “Liquorville” pet perfectly and tastefully made fun of him at almost every turn. Lady Gaga got in the act in some sketches too. When he was not miraculously become pregnant during her rendition of “Born This Way”, which appear Gaga some comedic chops very skillful (For proof, check out the “what do you call” drawing). Perhaps the only real weak link in an otherwise solid episode was the “secret word” sketch that was a complete bore.
On the morning after fog, the interwebs Timberlake revealed that, like Mozart sketch was expelled from the editing room. Too bad the 36th season finale was a cut below the truly impressive
