Saskatchewan School Shooting, A gunman issued a chilling threat on social media after killing his two brothers which read: “Just killed 2 ppl. Bout to shoot up the school.”
Canada is still reeling from the horrific shooting on Friday which left four people dead and several others injured.
Police were called to a “serious incident” at La Loche, a remote community school in northern Saskatchewan, shortly after 1.30pm yesterday.
Witnesses said they heard more than half a dozen shots as children ran for their lives.
The shooter was later arrested.
The town’s acting mayor, Kevin Janvier, said his 23-year-old daughter Marie, a teacher, was among those killed.
Noel Desjarlais-Thomas, 16, said he was returning from lunch when he heard the gunfre begin.
He said heard friends shouting “‘Run, bro, run! There’s a shotgun! There’s a shotgun!”
He continued: “They were just yelling to me. And then I was hearing those shots, too, so of course I started running.”
