Sasha Grey Elementary School

Sasha Grey Elementary School, Which comes as more of a shock that a p*rnstar was reading children’s books to kids at an elementary school or that the school is now denying that this ever happened despite photographic evidence of the actress to the school? P*rnstar Sasha Gray was invited to read to kids at Emerson Elementary in Los Angeles as part of the Read Across America program. Sasha is notorious in the adult industry for her numerous awards and willingness to do scenes others refused. Although, it should be noted that she has been retired from p*rn for almost 2 years now, and has been spending her time modeling and acting. She recently stared in Steven Soderbergh’s “Girlfriend Experience” and also had roles in “Entourage” and “I Melt With You”. The former adult superstar joined the Read Across America program because education is important to her and she wanted to participate in a program that encourages it. However, her participation is what caused a storm of outrage from parents of the elementary students who did not appreciate Sasha being presented as a role model to their kids. Having performed in over 150 p*rn films and was 2010′s AVN winner for bestanl scene it’s understandable that Sasha may not be the best positive role model. However, all she was doing was reading, it’s not like she was giving the kids oral sex pointers. In fact, if there were any students that recognized her, seeing as she read to 1st and 3rd graders, that role model award would lie with the parents.
The unsettled parents took their complaints to the PTA, who then complained to the Principal, who in turn met with the school district. The meeting apparently resulted in adopting the “deny till you dieâ€? approach because when the rep for the district finally made a statement, he refused to acknowledge that Sasha was ever there. “We have several celebrities who read to our students each year. The actress you have indicated [Sasha] was not present,â€? said the rep. I’m not sure how they saw that playing out seeing as not only did Sasha tweet, “Spent the am with Read Across America Compton, reading to the sweetest 1st & 3rd grade students @ Emerson Elementary!â€? but there were also pictures of her reading to an engrossed class and teacher thanks to TMZ. Sasha released a statement about her involvement in the organization and her past saying, “I committed to this program with the understanding that people would have their own opinions about what I have done, who I am and what I represent.”? She goes on to say, “I am an actor. I am an artist. I am a daughter. I am a sister. I am a partner. I have a past that some people may not agree with, but it does not define who I am. Sasha has made it clear that she will continue to support and participate in education-promoting initiatives. P*rnstars may not be great role models but they are people, and if they are willing to volunteer for a great cause should we really be turning their helping hands away because of their work/past? I mean, America has basically embraced Kim Kardashian as a role model and her entire Hollywood presence stems from a sex tape.
