SAG Nominations 2011

SAG Nominations 2011, The nominees for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards for outstanding performances in 2011 were announced today and likely candidates were named.

There are five film and eight primetime television categories, as well as a SAG honors for outstanding action performances by film and television stunt ensembles.

This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award will go to Mary Tyler Moore. This is the Screen Actors Guild Awards 48th Annual Life Achievement Award.

The SAG Awards will air on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. (ET)/5 p.m. (PT) from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center.

Topping the list of nominations are “Modern Family,” Boardwalk Empire,” and “Breaking Bad.”

In the movie genre, nominees for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture went to “The Artist,” “Bridesmaids,” “The Descendants,” “The Help,” and “Midnight in Paris.”

Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series: Alec Baldwin for “30 ROCK,” Ty Burrell for “MODERN FAMILY,” Steve Carell fpr “THE OFFICE,” Jon Cryer for “TWO AND A HALF MEN,” and Eric Stonestreet for “MODERN FAMILY.”

Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series: Julie Bowen for “MODERN FAMILY,” Edie Falco for “NURSE JACKIE,” Tina Fet for “30 ROCK,” Sofia Vergara for “MODERN FAMILY,” and Betty White for “HOT IN CLEVELAND.” (TV Land)

Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series” “Boardwalk Empire,” “Breaking Bad,” “Dexter,” “Game of Thrones,” and “The Good Wife.”

Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series: “30 ROCK,” “THE BIG BANG THEORY,” “GLEE,” “MODERN FAMILY,” and “THE OFFICE.”
