Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively Marry

Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively Marry, Actors Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively were married Sunday night in South Carolina. People magazine was the first of three celebrity outlets that reported the surprise nuptials of the “Green Lantern” co-stars, who wed without public announcement at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, S.C., near Charleston.
The reception was held in a white tent at the plantation, the magazine said, with Lively’s friend Florence Welch, of Florence and the Machine, performing three songs. A deejay played additional music.
This is Lively’s first marriage. The previously married Reynolds, 35, had wed actress Scarlett Johansson in September 2008 in an equally private ceremony near Tofino, British Columbia; the two announced their separation in 2010 and were divorced last year. Reynolds was briefly linked with Oscar winner Charlize Theron last summer, and was first spotted with Lively, 25, in October.
The couple has been living together in a reported $2 million-plus country home they purchased earlier this year in the Westchester town of Bedford.
Reynolds, who was named People’s 2010 “Sexiest Man Alive,” and Lively had dinner with Bette Midler in Charleston earlier in the weekend, People said. Lively’s mother and sister had been spotted in Mount Pleasant.
Representatives for the two stars had no comment.
Lively’s ex-boyfriend, her “Gossip Girl” co-star Penn Badgley, 25, told People on Monday, “I’m so happy for her,” adding, “I actually didn’t know until last night, but I think it’s fantastic. . . . I couldn’t be happier for her.”
