Wendi Deng Murdoch, his wife rose from her seat behind her husband to protect himself and took a blow to the intruder. The man was taken away from the scene and temporarily suspended the hearing committee.

The hearing continued after a brief pause with Rupert Murdoch not wearing a suit and only a handful of spectators allowed in the room. The committee chairman thanked James and Rupert Murdoch agrees to answer the Committee’s questions last.

“Mr. Murdoch, his wife has a very good left hook,” said Tom Watson, MP, near the end of the hearing.

After the committee rejected Murdoch, News of the former editor of the world and international news executive director Rebecca Brooks sat down to answer questions.

The committee said Brooks, who was arrested last week, they would be careful with their questions because she is participating in a criminal investigation. She told the committee that he acted “swiftly and decisively” in dealing with the phone hacking scandal in the News of the World, once he had seen new information on the actress Sienna Miller in December 2010.

Previously, Rupert Murdoch said the British parliamentary committee is not responsible for the scandal that has engulfed his media empire.

“Mr Murdoch accepted that they are responsible for this fiasco?” Asked Jim Sheridan, a Member of Parliament.

“No,” Murdoch said, explaining that he had hired and trusted and those they hired and trusted were responsible. Mentioned Les Hinton, the editor of the Wall Street Journal, who resigned Friday. The House of Commons culture, media and sport committee opened hearings on the phone hacking scandal that has roiled the media, police and the public in Britain. Outside the courtroom, the international media and a huge crush of spectators filled the building. Behind Murdoch had a limited number of spectators, including Murdoch’s wife, Wendi Deng.

Questioning the morning is a follow up to a similar hearing held in 2009. In the previous report of the commission, said it was “inconceivable” that a single journalist had been involved in hacking the phone, said a commission member said in his opening speech.

When asked if news of the end of the World was a commercial decision, Rupert Murdoch, said, “just the opposite.”

Both men played down the suggestion that they were planning to open a new Sunday newspaper to replace the News of the World.

“We have made no decision about it,” said Rupert Murdoch. His son added: “I had to leave all those options open is not the priority of the company now.”

Rupert Murdoch’s first comment, the Parliament was that today is “more humble days of my life.”
