Royal Wedding Cake, Oyez. Time for another share of official royal wedding: Prince William and Miss Middleton Catherine chose Leicestershire based cake designer Fiona Cairns to create their wedding cake.
Clarence House has released full details of not one but two cakes for the big event on April 29. The wedding cake is a fruitcake several traditional levels. Yes, a fruitcake. It will be decorated with cream and white icing and will feature a floral theme. The announcement said that Cairns was chosen “for her creative style and beautifully crafted homemade cakes with traditional British ingredients.”
Wills and Kate also asked McVitie’s Cake Company to create a chocolate biscuit cake for the reception at Buckingham Palace. It’s a favorite of Prince William and will be made from a royal family recipe.
